Palisade Boys Basketball Summer Schedule
SUMMER PHILOSOPHY: My summer philosophy coincides with our program philosophy, the ultimate objective is the total development of the individual. I believe the most effective way to achieve our objective is through open-gym time, camps, and scrimmages.
Open-gym time is the best way to build individual skills, correct techniques, and acquire a mastery level in all areas of fundamental play. Camps will test our skills against others and help us understand where our skills need to be. Scrimmages will further develop our individual progress and help us raise our competitive level of play.
Summer ball is the time to make huge strides in your personal game. Helping each player to reach their potential is my ultimate objective.
FUNDRAISING: JUCO Clean Up – May 26, 27, 28: After the evening game we clean up the bleachers. Usually we finish around 11:00 pm (2 hrs of work/night)

The practices will also prepare kids to be successful in the TEAM CAMPS.

Summer Team Camp
Team Camps are a very important part of our program. These camps give the kids a chance to play other teams while learning a new system. It will also give the coaching staff an opportunity to teach in multiple game situations. Furthermore, the staff can assess if our system is working for this group of kids.
PARENTS AND PLAYERS: It is very important to understand that whatever team you are initially put on for team camp (C-Team, JV, or Varsity) is not the team you will inevitably make come November. Nothing is set in stone, and if a player under/over performs then there is a possibility they will be moved up or down accordingly.
MESA CAMPS: Mesa camps start on Monday afternoons, and all games will be played on Mesa’s campus. Kids will receive a schedule Monday morning that goes until Wednesday evening. Wednesday evening we will be put into a bracket based on our record. The camps end on Thursday before noon.
POWER TO PLAY (Varsity Only): Because the “Power to Play” Tournament is held in Windsor, CO, we will need some assistance with transportation.
COAL RIDGE SUMMER LEAGUE: This is a Tuesday evening league with all games played at Coal Ridge. Like the Power to Play Tournament, we would need help getting kids to and from the high school. More details on this to come.
DATES – 5/29, 6/5, and 6/12 TIMES – TBA
